Red Bulls add young defender Hassan Ndam from Cameroon

With center back a position with little depth within the New York Red Bulls at this stage, the team made a move on Tuesday to assure that there is some depth.

The Red Bulls signed Cameroonian defender Hassan Ndam on Tuesday from Rainbow FC Bamenda in Cameroon.

The 18-year-old defender has featured for several of Cameroon’s youth national sides, including most recently with the Under-20s.

“We are pleased to add Hassan,” said Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch. “He has great physical attributes and a good sense of the game. He is young, but we think he shows promise.”

Ndam had previously trained with the Harrison side back in 2015.
