USMNT mid Emerson Hyndman notches first goal with Rangers (Video)

After recently helping Rangers advance in the Scottish Cup, Emerson Hyndman has continued to shine in Scotland’s top flight by scoring his first goal.

The USMNT midfielder tallied Rangers’ second goal on Saturday in a 2-0 victory over Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League, while also making his first start for the Gers.

Hyndman, 20, joined the Glasgow side in January on loan from Premier League side Bournemouth after struggling to crack the first team during the first half of the 2016/17 campaign.

The midfielder has quickly risen through the U.S. Soccer ranks over recent years after representing Under-17, U-20 and U-23 levels before making the leap to the senior team in 2014.

Hyndman came up in the FC Dallas academy and then moved to England in 2011 to pursue a youth career with now-Championship side Fulham. The budding USMNT player joined the club’s first team three years later and made 25 appearances for the club over two seasons.
